Funeral services for Kenneth E. Sweet, long-time South Pasadena resident, were held today at Mountain View Mortuary, Altadena.  Mr. Sweet, 67, died Thursday, February 11, 1965, in Hemet, California, following a long illness.  Mr. Sweet had served Calvary Presbyterian Church in South Pasadena as vice president of the Board of Trustees and lived in that city for 59 years.

Born in Pomona, April 1, 1897, Mr. Sweet came to South Pasadena, where his father was a pioneer home builder, in 1904.  He served in the Army Medical Corps in World War I and was employed by Mobil Oil Corporation for 41 years.

Mr. Sweet was a member of South Pasadena Masonic Lodge No. 367.  He leaves his widow, Helen Graham Sweet, of Hemet; two sons, Charles G., former Star-News editorial department employee, of San Marino, and K. Bruce, of Altadena; and four grandchildren.
