DOROTHY FLORENCE (PARKHILL) BALL Passed peacefully to her Lord and Savior on August 23, just six days short of her 92nd birthday. Dorothy was born in Billings, MT and relocated with her parents, Clayton and Catherine Parkhill, to Los Angeles and then settled in San Marino, CA. She graduated from South Pasadena High School in 1932 and attended Pasadena Junior College before marrying John Hallinen in 1934 with whom she had two children: John and Patricia. In 1950 Dorothy married Myrwyn (Mike) Ball and gave birth to a son, Randy. Dorothy was an enthusiastic homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother who spent many hours donating her time to the John Tracy Clinic for deaf children, Little League baseball, Scouting, and hospital volunteer work. She is survived by her brother Robert Parkhill and wife Isabel of Buena Park, son John Hallinen and wife Nancy of Vancouver, WA., son Randy Ball and wife Cindy of Canyon Lake, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Mike, daughter Patricia and brother, Clayton. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Hospice of the Valleys in Sun City, CA. or the John Tracy Clinic. Memorial Services will be held on Sat., 09/09/06, 12:00 noon at Miller-Jones Mortuary in Sun City, CA. Interment is at Rose Hills Memorial Park.
