Wilbur W. Wood passed away Ocober 17, 2006 in Arcadia, California. "Woody" graduated from South Pasadena High School in 1941.
He was trained as a welder, and worked in the California Shipyards at Terminal Island before entering the U.S. Navy where he served as a shipfitter welder in the Pacific Theater during WW II, 1943-1945. He worked at American Pipe & Steel, C.F. Braun, and The Flour Shop prior to working for WW Price & Kaiser Steel. He retired in 1980 and became a longtime member of the Pacific Rose Society with is wife, Marie.
He is survived by his daughters, Dorothy Balsamo, Susan Wheelock, and Denise Butts; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
