Arline Elizabeth Lane (Abbott)

Arline Abbott passed away peacefully July 8, 2006. She was a homemaker who used her creative talents in various jobs such as cake decorating, painting in water colors, teaching ballet and being a librarian for the Pasadena playhouse. She was a lifelong active member of the Episcopal Church, most recently participating in the choir at Grace Episcopal Church in Fairfield, California.

Arline Elizabeth Lane was born December 13, 1924, in San Bernardino and moved to Los Angeles with her family. She graduated from South Pasadena High School and from Pasadena City College with an associate of arts degree. She married Wilbur R. Abbott in 1946 and raised her family. Arline and Wilbur moved to Suisun City in 1992 and she immediately became active in many civic and art groups. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Nathan L. (SPHS '67) and Rose Abbott of Arcadia; daughter and son-in-law, Narrada (SPHS '65)  and Robert Hughes of Mt. Home, Idaho; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur R. Abbott, and two brothers, Holly and Arden Lane.
