Bill Maxwell and I were buddies, along with Paul Conn and Roger Squire - both in school and off campus. We were a foursome. We had a lot of fun together - some of it mischievous. Bill was a disciplined and competitive swimmer. Both Bill and I delivered flowers while in high school for the Flower Box on Fair Oaks Ave and later Erna's Flowers both of which were owned by my mother He later became a rancher. He had good values and was a true and totally honest person- and a wonderful friend. He left us too soon.
