Patricia "Patsy" Marshall (Smyth) - Class Of 1948

Patricia Patsy Marshall (Smyth)

Patricia died peacefully in her sleep last week at her San Mateo residence, she was 78 years old.

Patsy, as she was known by her friends, was a native of Southern California who traveled north to complete her education at UC Berkeley. There she met her husband, Scott, and made the Bay Area her home for the next 50 years.

She was a devoted housewife raising a family of three children; spoiling them with love and affection and her renowned homemade jam and preserves. Patsy also found time to be a volunteer with St. Paul's Church, Hillsborough Circle, and the Crippled Children Society.

Patsy is survived by her brother Gordon (SPHS '37); sister Jean (SPHS '41); her children Sarah, Elizabeth and Scott; and her four grandchildren.
