Larry Mickel graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Larry and my sister Gloria SPSMHS Class of 50 were sweethearts, and I recall Larry winning a boxing match against me in HS. Also, I see Kenneth Good is listed as deceased in 1963. Ken was also a prized friend of mine as we used to run on the SouthPas Cross Country team togeather. Ken was the "best" runner as I recall. I remember with pride and fondness both, Larry and Ken each memorial day.
I was at the Naval Academy when Larry was at the Point, as was tradition we bet with each other on the outcome of the Army/Navy Game. I won Larry's Bathrobe the first year, his Blanket the second, and his Gold Cuff Link senior year. They are till among my keepsakes today, and I think of Larry each time I wear my formal shirt with the Cuffs.
