Karl was one of my best friends. I did not have many of them during my high school years, so to me he was a very important part of my life. I can remember many times he and I would talk about our situations for hour upon end. He had that big house on the side of a hill in South Pasadena and we would have a ball. He and Mary Ann Ellison were a big twosome for a long time and the three of us would do some things together. Karl was always neat to be around and I valued my relationships with him.
