Robert A Bob Miotti

Educator Robert A. Miotti died Monday, November 7, 1994, at Sonora Community Hospital after a long illness.  He was 57.

Mr. Miotti taught at Jamestown School for 10 years, then co-founded and taught at Tuolumne County Community School for "at risk" seventh- through 12th-graders.  He was a member of the Summerville Elementary School board of trustees.

"He was a very dedicated educator, and it showed when he was a board member as well as a  community school teacher," Summerville Superintendent Ron Parker said.  County Superintendent Orville Milhollin praised Mr. Miotti for "his total commitment to his job.  We are sorely going to miss him."

Born August 19, 1937, in Los Angeles, Mr. Miotti moved to Tuolumne City in 1970.  In addition to his work as an educator, he served on the board of the Tuolumne Parks and Recreation District and the Tuolumne Pool Committee.  He was a member of the East Belt Masonic Lodge in Tuolumne City and the Sonora Elks Lodge.  He served in the Army from 1958 to 1961.

Mi. Miotti is survived by his wife, Constance Miotti of Tuolumne City; children, Tim Miotti of Tuolumne City, Krishna Hamilton of Jamestown, Richard Miotti of Los Angeles, Robert Miotti of Ojai, and Concstance Ann Kisling of Las Vegas; a sister, Nancy Remley of Newport Beach; and eight grandchildren.
