In Memory

Mary Kathleen Reardon - Class Of 1979

Mary Kathleen Reardon

Mary Kathleen Reardon, passed to her eternal reward on September 11, 2005.  A long time resident of South Pasadena, Mary was born on December 29, 1960 in Pasadena, California.  She attended South Pasadena schools and was a 1979 graduate of South Pasadena High School.

Mary had a lifelong battle with neurofibromatosis.  She was well-loved by her family and friends.  Mary's pain from the disease never got in the way of her lending a hand to other persons in need.

Mary is survived by her long time significant other, Charles Pontrelli; her mother, Marie Reardon; and by her sisters, Timaree Keller (SPHS '70), Laurie Doyle (SPHS '72), Ann Reardon (SPHS '75), and Jennifer Law (SPHS '89); her seven nieces and six nephews of whom she loved so dearly and considered her own children. We will miss Mary's loving ways and beautiful smile as she was so dear to all who knew her.  She has gone ahead of us to join her brother John (SPHS '74), who passed to his eternal reward in 1981.

I met Mary in Jr. High, but didn't start hanging out with her until H.S.  We remained very good friends well after h.s.  I had the priviledge of being one of her friends and always remained in contact with her.  She was so thoughtful, loving and caring.  She never forgot my birthday, always sending me cards.  My heart still grieves for the loss of my dear friend.  It doesn't seem real to me that she has been gone almost 5 years.  I know in my heart that she knew I was there at the hospital when I said goodbye to her.  She will always be missed and loved.  I am truly thankful that her wonderful, loving family has always been there for me.  I love each and everyone of them!
