Robert C 'Bob' Bresnan - Class Of 1937

Robert C 'Bob' Bresnan

Robert Bresnan, GREAT 88, peacefully passed away on January 17, 2009.  Bob was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin but moved with his family to Pasadena when he was five years old.  He attended Pasadena City College and UCLA.  Then was a World War II Navy veteran.  Upon returning from active duty he began Bresnan Construction Company, later to be called Bremco.  He also was active in banking having been one of the original directors of Continental Bank in Alhambra, and also, Anchor Thrift & Loan.

He was an active sailor with the Long Beach Yacht Club and enjoyed playing golf when he was in Palm Springs.  Another favorite was traveling all over the world with his wife, Linda.  Everyone will miss his very funny sense of humor...he had a knack of putting all at ease, even in the most awkward of situations.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Linda; his loving daughters, Joan, Linda Lee, and Mary '66; his brother Harold Bresnan '44 (Doris); his nephew Jim Bresnan (Nancy); two great nephews, Travis and Bryan; and two great-great nieces and one nephew.
