Marian Laura Bruce (November 14, 1934 - October 13, 2017) was born in Los Angeles to Willard and Frances Rowins Bruce. She passed away at her home in Red Bluff, California. Schooling was in South Pasadena for kindergarten through high school and then some years at Stanford and Lewis and Clark. This past April she had a joyful time at her high school class of 1952 reunion.

After the death of her parents, she moved from Palo Alto to Red Bluff where she has been for the past 31 years. She enjoyed cooking, playing the piano, working on craft projects, traveling, and visiting with friends. She is survived by her sister Marjory (Fred) Lourence of Red Bluff.

Marian died at home in Red Bluff on October 13, 2017. Marian thought often of her time at South Pasadena-San Marino High School and the friends she had from those days. One of her most joyful times in 2017 was attending her 65th class reunion and seeing former classmates. We had an at-home remembrance gathering in November 2017 and 70 people attended. A niece Karen Lourence read a touching email from Marian's classmate Lada Sobieski Marx. Another classmate Pat Post Eagle stopped by to visit a few weeks later.
