Occupation(s), Career Details
I graduated from the University of Idaho in 1955 with a BSME degree. I was employed by North American Aviation at their mountain top rocket engine test laboratory at Santa Susana, CA. I worked on the rocket engines for the Navaho, Jupiter, Thor, Atlas, Saturn, and Space Shuttle launch vehicles. My specialized field was in test, design, and development of the turbomachinery. The company evolved into a division named Rocketdyne which is still in business in Canoga Park, CA. I retired in 2002 after 47 years with the firm.
