Vivian Chase Kellogg

May 5, 1922 - December 13, 1943

On June 7, 1942, my brother enlisted in the Navy and was in a group called "Avengers of Pearl Harbor". He was assigned to Patrol Squadron Two Hundred Thirteen. The squadron was on a night patrol flying in a PBM-3S Mariner on December 13, 1943. It was a night training mission with a crew of 12 enlisted and four officers aboard. The plane vanished without a trace. All personnel were presumed lost. Vivian was one of the radiomen on that flight.
