Roberta Law (Creed) - Class Of 1939

Roberta Law Creed passed away on February 12, 2013, just four weeks after her husband, Conrad Ked Creed. They had celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary last December, having met in 1942 on a blind date while living in Los Angeles and attending UCLA. After moving to Fillmore, California in 1950, they both worked as teachers in the Fillmore school system.

Roberta taught kindergarten and first grade and was the reading specialist at San Cayetano Elementary School when she retired in 1976. She loved children and always was pleased to see former students (and their children) in town. She was a member of the Ebell Club and a local bridge club of friends. Well-known for her love of roses and her extensive rose garden, Roberta often did the floral arrangements for various events. In the years since their retirement, they enjoyed playing duplicate bridge and traveling around the world - many times attending bridge tournaments or apiary conventions - or camping at Bishop Creek in the Sierra Nevada.

Roberta is survived by her daughters, Karen (Lou) Prosser and Kristine (Jack) VanOlst; and four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
