Arthur F Pond

Arthur F. Pond, a retired chemical engineer at Monsanto Chemical Company here, died May 26, 1993 of cancer at Hackett Hill Nursing Home in Manchester, New Hampshire.  He was 71.

Mr. Pond joined the Navy in World War II, serving as an officer on the carrier Enterprise.  He was born in Toronto, lived in St. Louis most of his career and moved to Bow, New Hampshire, after retiring from Monsanto in 1986.

Among the survivors are his wife, Ruth Ann (Alexander) Pond of Bow, New Hampshire; three sons, George Pond of Albany, New York, James Pond of Morgantown, West Virginia, and Thomas Pond of Wichita, Kansas; one daughter, Elizabeth Nelson of Cupertino, California; one brother, Alexander Pond (SPHS '42) of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey; and seven grandchildren.
