Marjorie Snyder (Sorensen) - Class Of 1942

Marjorie Snyder (Sorensen)

Marjorie S. Sorensen passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 9, 2009 at the age of 84.  She was born in San Diego, the first child of Marjorie Lyman Snyder and John Whiteley Snyder.  Her younger brother John preceded her in death.  Marge is survived by her loving husband Bob of 61 years, daughter Robbie Chase, son Gregg Sorensen, son-in-law Doug, daughter-in-law Anne, grandchildren Lauren, Andrea, Scott, Ken, and Jimmy, and great-grandchild Parker.

Margie had a knack for reaching out to people and animals in a warm and caring way, and always enjoyed being with friends.  Throughout her life she gave unselfishly and enthusiastically to others whether it was through her family, church, teaching, art, volunteer work, or in social activities.

Marge loved friends, family, world travels, reading, walking, aqua-aerobics, symphony, theater, bible study, playing bridge and tennis.  Prior to moving to Santa Rosa, Marge and Bob resided in Pasadena, Claremont, and San Luis Obispo.
