I spent 25 years as a reporter and editor at the San Jose Mercury News. Took a buyout in March '08. At the time I was a vice president and the editorial page editor.

For the past year I was corporate communications director for one of the county's leading solar companies. But a couple of bad quarters led to my position being eliminated (and me getting laid off) in April '09.

Now I'm looking for the next adventure.

South Pasadena and SoCal for the first 25 years and Silicon Valley after that.

Blah, blah, blah. You were there. Or do you have short term memory loss?

Mother and three brothers - Peter, David and John.

Al Brockus, Don Ingman, Ed Liu, Liza Dyer, Steve Willis and a few others over the years.

Jogging, hiking, reading, movies, gardening and grilling.

Al Brockus keeps me stocked with good tunes. And I let my daughter load my iPod so I stay more current. My iPod has everything from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr., to Sonata Arctica to Jimi Hendrix to Black Eyed Peas.
