Guy Paul Charno - Class Of 1977

Guy Paul Charno

Guy was the youngest of four children and is missed so very much. After graduation he went into the Navy, then worked for Group W Cable in Arcadia and as a Reserve Police officer in South Pasadena. He then went to American Cablevision in South Pasadena (later becoming Time Warner Cable).

Guy went to the Police Academy and followed in our dad's footsteps working for South Pasadena Police Department. He also worked as a police officer in Bullhead City, Arizona and as a Private Investigator and as an investigator for the Coroner's Office. In later years he drove a truck and traveled across the country.

Guy was living in Texas at the time of his death on September 25, 2018 at age 59. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Charno, brother, Pat Charno '74, and sisters Teri Charno '75 and Candy Charno '69.

My condolences on Guy Charno's death to all of his family. I knew Guy from Marengo as well as SPJHS. He was genuinely funny though not necessarily in a class clown way. It does not surprise me he followed his father into law enforcement, among a number of other careers he apparently had. He was a good guy and I am sorry to hear he has passed away.
