David was born September 12, 1928 and died August 16, 2014 of natural causes in Bellingham, Washington. He was a good and faithful husband, father, son, and brother who loved his church and family. He worked for Hughes Aircraft his entire working career. He is now at home with his Lord and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth; daughters Anna and Susan; sons Philip and Mathew; many grand- and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jean Dorland Rath (SPHS '41) and Frances Dorland Morehead (SPHS '49)
