Beverly was born January 10, 1930.  A year ago she was diagnosed with cancer and succumbed October 6, 2012.  She attended Marengo Elementary, South Pasadena Junior High, and South Pasadena-San Marino High School and graduated in June 1948.  She attended John Muir College in Pasadena and in 1950 married Jim Bowers (SPHS '48).

Jim and Beverly had three kids that also attended South Pasadena High School:  Terri Bowers Lain '71, Gerald Bowers '74, and Roxanna Bowers Gutierrez '75.  Jim and Beverly divorced in 1969.

After many activities with her kids, she met and married Maxwell James in 1977.  They traveled extensively and enjoyed a busy life until Max passed in 2009.  Bev wrote and published a book of Maxwell's life in the Army Air Corps and missions over Europe in World War II.  She is out of pain and in a better place and will be missed by all the lives she touched.
