Sherwood 'Woody' Simpson passed away peacefully on February 26, 2013, surrounded by family in Mission Viejo, California at the age of 85.  He had been a resident of San Marino for 43 years prior to moving to Orange county.

Woody was a great man and tremendous leader.  Many have been blessed by his devotion to the Scouting movement, as well as his involvement in other numerous activities, organizations, communities, church, etc.  Scouting's loss is great; however, Woody's legacy will live on forever through all the Scouts he has influenced over the years.
