Anne Smith Hand was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on August 24, 1932.  After time in Houston, she moved to Palo Alto, California and eventually San Marino, California where she graduated from South Pasadena/San Marino High School.

After high school, she attended UCLA where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority.  In June, 1950 she married Andrew T. Hand with whom she had three children; Brian Andrew, Karen Anne, and John Courtney.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazelle and Andrew Smith as well as her former husband, Andrew.  In addition to her children, she is survived by her beloved grandchildren; Jennifer Hand, Nicholas Hand, Lauren Anne Mayes, and great-grandchild, Ethan Andrew Hand.

Anne died Thursday, February 11, 2010, in Denver, Colorado where she lived with her son, John.
