Jane Cheek, 80, of Boulder City, Nevada, passed away on January 22, 2012 at the Nevada State Veterans Home.  She was born on October 2, 1931, in Los Angeles, California to Wilbur and Carol Teets.  Jane graduated from South Pasadena - San Marino High School.

Jane worked as a bookkeeper for Bill Winn and Caltech before retiring in 1973 and loved her job.  After retiring, she moved to Arizona for a short period before settling in Boulder City in 1979.  She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 36.  She had a strong faith and was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Jane is survived by her son, Allen Giswein of Boulder City; three stepsons, Gary Cheek of Lake Oswego, Oregon, Robert Cheek of St. George, Utah, and  Fred L. Cheek of Roseburg, Oregon; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Cheek; and a son, Dennis Cheek.
