Family history living in South Pasadena
On my mother's side, I'm one of the Sato clan, 4 generations of which have lived, and still live, in South Pas: Mom's parents, Makako & Yoriyuki Sato, owned and ran a nursery just south of Raymond Hill before WWII, then Fair Oaks Florist (on the east side of Fair Oaks Ave. between Mission St. & Hope St.) for decades following the war. My mother June and her older brothers William (Bill) and George grew up here, going through the entire SP school system until the unfortunate events of 1942. My older brother is Robert, SPHS Class of 1974; Bill's sons are Bill Jr. & David, SPHS Classes of 197_ (sorry Bill & Dave, I don't remember which ones).
