Robert R Foresman - Class Of 1943

Robert R Foresman

Robert Foresman was born in 1925 in Pasadena, California, raised in San Marino and died at home in San Juan Capistrano on December 30, 2012 due to cancer.  He is survived by his wife, Juin; children, Scott Foresman, Guy Foresman, and Gayl Foresman Beller; as well as eight grandchildren.  His youngest son, Mark, passed away several years ago, also due to cancer.

Bob was a recreational sailor from the time he was a pre-teen, progressing from a 10-foot sailboat that he made himself to ocean-going vessels.  He served in the Navy's V-12 program and as an officer in the Navy's Dental Corps.  Orthodontics was Bob's profession for over thirty years.  His interest in sailing led him to develop many innovations for his own sailboat.  In 1965 Bob established Forespar Products Corporation where he designed and produced numerous products for the marine industry.

He was characterized by a dry sense of humor, creativity, and dependability.  Bob is already sorely missed but is celebrated in our memory and lives.
