Kathryn Hintzen Harrington, born June 14, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan, witnessed her last sunrise on February 1, 2020 after a long struggle with ovarian cancer. She was 61.

Beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend. A teacher, she taught Special Education in the ABC Unified School District for 29 years. Her fellow staff members and students especially loved her.

In addition to doting on her children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews, she was known for her beautiful sewing and knitting, often making clothing for them as a hobby. Each new arrival in the extended family was greeted with knit and sewn articles, that were added to as they outgrew them.

Survived by her parents Janet and Werner Hintzen; sister Ellyn Hintzen Pyka '77 and brother Werner; husband Glenn of 38 years; children Gregory, Daniel, and Emily; grandson Ohri and granddaughter Alina. She will truly be missed.
