Amy Joerges Fouse (Schneider)

Amy Fouse Schneider died April 15, 2015 at the age of 45. She was born August 26, 1969 in Detroit, Michigan to parents Brigitte Joerges and John Fouse.

At age eight, her family relocated to Pasadena, where she graduated from South Pasadena High. She married Roderick Keeler in 1991 and moved to Oakhurst, California in 1992. She began working for the Madera Office of Education as a sign language interpreter. She earned her Masters in Education and in 2011 married Jeff Schneider.

Amy's passion were children - hers, Jeff's and everyone else's. She enjoyed traveling from school to school within Madera and Mariposa counties to work with deaf and hard of hearing, loved cooking, gardening, country music, singing, and especially performing at the Golden Chain Theatre.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children, Elise and Abby, husband Jeff, stepchildren Victoria, Lorelei, Anga, and Michael; sisters, Annie (SPHS '82), Emilie (SPHS '83), and Katrina; nieces and many other family members in Brazil.
