Hello teachers and students who have attended SPJHS -
Can anyone tell me if Teacher Virginia Stutzman was the teacher who taught 8th or 9th Grade American Government back about 1965 - 67 at So. Pas Jr. High School ?
Our Mrs Stutzman had a no nonsense type of approach to teaching but smiles came to her readily. She had an air of confidence about her. She was in her late 40's to early 50's, stood about 5 ft 5in tall, dressed always sharp w/ heels and had a medium length brown hair. What I remember most of all is that her posture was perfect.
She would have been one of the teachers I would have loved to go visit to thank for her dedication. Her class had the U.S. Constitution exam that I had to retake and at the time I was very worried about not passing the 9th Grade since it was a requirement. How times have changed today when Jr. High students can fail just about every class and still be passed onto high school ; no 'accountability' in elementary and Jr. Highs.
