Rodney Weldon (1947)
In mid 1990s I made an effort to find and talk to Patsy Ferguson Cole (‘47).
She had been a good friend since early grammar school at Oneonta but I hadn’t seen her since High School.
She agreed to meet for lunch and we had a grand talk about the early days and what happened to us later.
I met her again, along with her husband and a son and his wife, and again after Mr. Cole died.
We later drove to the 50th reunion with David Sands and his wife and had a wonderful time.
When she died it took me by surprise. I managed to find Stuart, an older brother, by phone and he confirmed that she had died.
Patsy was my first date in High School. We went to a South Pas High dance in the girls’ gym.
I wrote about that.
She was a wonderful girl and marvelous woman, a joy to know. - Rodney Weldon '47.
