Barbara Seubert Michel

November 9, 1936 - February 18, 2023

Barbara passed away peacefully in Pasadena, California. Born to Arthur and Elsie Seubert at Alhambra Hospital in Alhambra, Barbara was raised in South Pasadena and graduated from South Pasadena-San Marino High School. Barbara was attending Pasadena City College until she married the love of her life, John E Michel '51 in 1956.

John and Barbara made their home in San Marino where they had two children. Barbara was very active in her community with the Women's Group of South Pasadena, then the Assistance League of Pasadena where she was elected president. While involved in the Assistance League she was instrumental in establishing their thrift shop, Treasure Fair and the Haunted House in the parking lot of Bullocks on Lake Avenue. Barbara also belonged to several bridge groups (both ladies and couples) over the years. Barbara loved to shop and find bargains. After her children left the house, Barbara and a partner started their own business 'Treasure Transfers' where they would do estate liquidations in the San Gabriel Valley. Barbara lived within a five mile radius her entire life.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 67 years, John E Michel; daughter Carla (Shane) Harvey; son John Eric (Christine) Michel II, along with five grandchildren. In addition to grandchildren, Barbara had six great-grandchildren.
