I really liked Mrs. Berlot's class. She really imparted her love of the English language , She would spend her summers in Europe visiting the homes of famous English writers like Walter Scott . She could speak middle English and had an enthusiasm for her subject matter that was infectious . They told me in teachers college ''Teach the students what you love ''. She did.
