Warren E Howell - Class Of 1952

Warren E Howell

Warren Howell passed away Saturday, May 29, 1999 at Kaiser Fontana after a long battle with cancer.  He was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Pasadena and South Pasadena.  He was known as "Willie" by family and friends.

He graduated from South Pasadena and held the cross country record there for many years.  He served in the US Army 11th Airborne Division as a paratrooper and ranger in the early 50s.

Following his army discharge, he worked his way through college and law school as a gas meter-reader and as an IRS agent.  He graduated from the Southwestern School of Law and passed the Bar exam in 1962.  He practiced law for several years in San Marino and for approximately 25 years as a prosecutor with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office.

Upon retirement in 1995, the majority of his time was spent in Bullhead City, Arizona where he became involved with the Boys and Girls Club of Colorado River and the Bullhead City division of WestCare, an organization working directly with troubled youth.  He dedicated a great deal of time and energy in his final years helping to provide a healthy, caring environment to the children of the Colorado River Valley, and to his own children and grandchildren.

He leaves three daughters, two sons, eight grandchildren, two brothers and one sister.
