Gale Cross (Moody) - Class Of 1953

Gale Cross (Moody)

Gale C. Moody, 72, died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado, after a severe stroke.

Gale was born on June 7, 1935, in Evanston, Illinois, the second child of Marjory R. Gale and Robert N. Cross. Her early childhood was spent in Evanston, where she enjoyed the change of seasons and figure skating. The family moved to San Marino, California, where she received her education at South Pasadena High School in 1953.

Soon out of high school, Gale married Rolland Moody, later divorced, and raised her three sons: William, David and Chris. After her sons left home to pursue their education, Gale moved from Granada Hills, California, to live in Kalispell, Montana; Inglewood, California; Mercer Island, Washington; and finally settled in Laramie, Wyoming. While in Kalispell she had her own business designing and installing window decorations.

Gale's greatest joys in life revolved around travel, reading, beading, sewing, interior design and the appreciation of the colors, textures, and patterns that surround us. While living in Laramie, Gale enjoyed her retirement scouting for antiques, planting trees, sewing, knitting, and expressing her creative talents with bead work of all kinds.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Barbara Pozner.

She is survived by her sons, William Moody of Gardnerville, Nevada; David Moody of Valencia, California; and Chris Moody of Laramie; her brother Robert Cross of Long Beach, California; and two grandchildren, Russil Moody and Kimberly Moody of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
