Carol Moore (Barone) - Class Of 1965

Carol Moore Barone  '65  passed away on November 1, 2004 at the Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena.  She was 55.

Carol was known for being a musician, actress, and writer.  She was a deeply spiritual person with an abiding faith in God and humanity.  Carol was born September 6, 1947 in Glendale, California.  She graduated from South Pasadena High School in 1965 and later received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from California State University, Los Angeles where she met her husband, Dennis Barone.

Carol and Dennis were married in 1972.  Carol continued her college education by earning an additional bachelor-of-arts degree in drama, a master-of-arts degree in English Literature, and a secondary and community college teaching credential from San Francisco State University.

Her parents, Donald D. and Alice Moore, and her brother Donald H. Moore (SPHS '64), preceded Carol in death.  She is survived by her husband, Dennis Barone of South Pasadena, her identical twin sister, Linda Moore Gordon (SPHS '65) of Los Alamos, California; her sister Nancy Moore Petersen (SPHS '68) of Danville, California; three nieces, and one nephew.

Eve Alexander (Young) (1965)

Carol--You continue to survive in my heart.  You and your sister set an outstanding example for me on the importance of exhibiting kindness to others.  You both were always upbeat and gracious.  With my own wild and wooly upbringing to guide me, I would sometimes ask myself what Carol or Linda would say in whatever situation I was facing.  Thank you for sharing your heart with so many!
