One day Jim chased me down, and talked me into comming to the track to see if I could bench 200 pounds, and join the "200 club" He and Monte Ragland had the strangest bench press form.  I have often wondered about Jim,  He was a friend.

for his size jim reardon was one of the strongest people i ever met, i still lift a little and think about lifting weights with him, he had such a funny and endearing sence of humor, i was sadly shocked when i read of his passing, as exasperating as teaching can be it sounds like he died doing what he loved, you will be missed old friend...George Ainsworth

Jim & I went not only to SPHS together but also to Holy Family.  I will always remember those long bike rides that we made out to Pomona via Bonelli Park -- we also travelled with Bil LaRue.  I would get up around 5 am in the morning, that was early to me back then, and hop on my bike and ride over to Jim's house over on Kendall.  We then rode our bikes out to a Bowling Alley out in Pomona ... they would have their Saturday promotion going on ... believe it was something like $1.50 for 4 games.

Jim was a great guy and always enjoyed his friendship.  May you R.I.P. my friend.
