Betty Lou Varley Forman, born November 17, 1924, died June 18, 2012 in Lexington, Virginia.  She was 87 and death was due to complications from diabetes and dementia.

Betty Lou was survived by her daughters Lisa Forman and Sybil Forman Shopland (Peter); son Geoffrey Forman (Elizabeth); and two granddaughters, Sarah and Noelle Forman.

After graduating from South Pas, Betty Lou went to the Cleveland Institute of Music to earn both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in three years.
