Ingy Enevik (Miller) - Class Of 1953

Ingy Enevik (Miller)

Ingy Maria (Enevik) Miller, beloved mother and friend, lost her battle with cancer on April 2, 2012.  She left a legacy of love in the hearts of those who knew her.  Born in New York, she moved with her parents to San Marino in her teens, where she attended South Pasadena-San Marino High School and then obtained her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  She taught in the Los Angeles school district for several years and thoroughly enjoyed teaching children, art being her main focus.

Ingy met her former husband, James Miller, while living in Los Angeles, married in 1963, and soon moved to Iowa, where she helped support him while he obtained his certification to practice chiropractic medicine.  They then moved to Bellevue, Washington and soon to Gig Harbor, where he started a chiropractic clinic and where she resided for the rest of her life.

Ingy taught many of her Raft Island neighbor children arts and crafts and how to play tennis.  Summers were spent outside, where she and Jim also taught their daughter Noel, and son Scott, how to water ski, fish, and care for nature.  Together, they imparted a love of animals, snow, plants, family, and gardening in us and in their four grandchildren.  We all will be forever be grateful for those qualities.

Ingy loved a good party and enjoyed time playing tennis with her friends.  She enjoyed time at work as well.  Both her co-workers and many of her customers at the Gig Harbor Rite Aid were very fond of her.  She was a generous and thoughtful person who meant so much to so many.  We thank you, Ingy, for all you've shared with us.  Much love to you and enjoy your peace, mom...
