Mary Jane Milne

February 9, 1930 - February 2, 2017

Mary Jane was proud to be a native Californian. She grew up in San Gabriel, moved to Berkeley in the 1950s and stayed in Northern California the rest of her life.

Mary Jane's interests included genealogy, traveling the world, music, dancing, movies (she loved Paul Newman and Jimmy Stewart), and playing good-natured practical jokes. She loved to talk, laugh and be silly with her friends and family. She was an accomplished pianist, studying piano since the age of ten. She was a University of California, Berkeley, student and a member of Kappa Delta sorority where she made life-long friends, and became a forever Bears fan. She kept in touch with friends from all periods in her life. Mary Jane worked for and retired from the City of Concord where she was the office manager for the engineering department.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cristiana (Michael) Kelly of Napa, and Alison Mahnken of Arizona. She is also survived by her brother, Donald (Mary) Milne of Scottsdale, Arizona. Sisters Susan (Bill) Veyl of Santa Cruz, and Anne Milne of New York, New York.  She was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Milne Martin.

Thanks for all the love, lessons and laughter, Ma. You are missed and loved.
