Betty Jean Miller "BJ" Mock of Los Angeles, formerly of Lane County, Oregon, died July 13, 2012 of a stroke. She was 86. Betty Jean was born March 29, 1926, in Los Angeles to Graham and Mayme Benes Miller.
BJ held a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Oregon in community service and public affairs. She worked in broadcasting, did clerical work, was a homemaker, and later, did adoption and social work.
Survivors include her husband, Lester Mock; two sons, Bruce of Portland and Paul of Ontario, Oregon; two daughters, Laurel Mock Pollock of Portland and Cindee Mock Wirtz of Eugene; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
