YES, Gus was a great guy.  He was a stud in everything, and my best friend in high school!  My stepfather said that I (and Gus) could see the FIRST Super Bowl! That was so fun when my stepdad owned two hotels: #1. The Kansas City football players, and I even met the (short) coach, and #2. Going up to Disneyland. When I heard that Gus had died, I decided to drive north to see his friends and family. I'm so glad that I did that!  And I'm ready to see Gus again in heaven!
