Mona Green Sukovaty, daughter of George and Flora Blackwood Green was born March 1, 1934 in Okay, Arkansas. Mona and her family moved to California where she graduated from South Pasadena High School in 1952. She moved to Iowa and went to Iowa Central Community College.

In 1953 she married the love of her life Bobby Eugene Sukovaty in California. The couple was blessed with a daughter Vikki, and two sons Doug and Gib. The family moved to Scranton, Iowa in 1955 and then to the farm outside of Scranton in 1958. Mona worked as an activity director at Cedar Lane Estates, in home health care, and the most important job of all...taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and especially spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mona was a member of the Ladene Club in Scranton and the Faith Baptist Church in Carroll. She passed away at her home on July 24, 2022.

Mona is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bobby Eugene. She will be dearly missed by her daughter Vikki Sukovaty Subbert (Michael) of Scranton, her sons Doug Sukovaty (Rosie) of Jefferson, and Gib Sukovaty (Missy) of Scranton, seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
