Gregg Rutkin

April 9, 1962 - December 9, 2022

Gregg passed away peacefully at Huntington Memorial Hospital at age 60, of cancer. He was visited there by so many friends on the days before his passing that one of the staff commented that he had received more visitors that day than all the other patients in the hospital combined.

Gregg remained close friends with many members of the class of 1980. He was a member of the team that opened the Vons store at the corner of Monterey Road and Fair Oaks Avenue and remained with the company for his entire career. His many friends from Vons, just like his South Pasadena friends, also became part of his very large chosen family. Gregg will always be remembered for his big heart, sharp wit, amazing memory and all around love of life and people.

Gregg is survived by his siblings:  Andrew '78, Dan '82, and Leigh Anne '85. He was predeceased by his brother, Steve Rutkin '75.
