Herbert Botsford
December 20, 1931 - April 17, 1998
Loving husband and devoted father and grandfather; passed away suddenly at his Rancho Mirage home. He was 66 years of age.
Herb, a resident of Pasadena and former resident of San Marino, is survived by his wife, Shirely Woodland Botsford (SPHS '49), to whom he was married for 44 years. He leaves three sons, Brad, Steven (Denise), and Jeffrey (Vicky). He also leaves five grandchildren: Christopher, Scott, Brian, Kevin, and Corinne.
Herb attended South Pasadena/San Marino High School and the University of California at Berkeley where he was affiliated with Delta Upsilon fraternity. After serving in the United States Navy, Herb was graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles with a degree in accounting. During his career he was a partner with both Ernest and Ernest and Arthur Young accounting firms. At the time of his death, he was a partner with Lucas, Horsfall, Murphy & Pindroh, LLP in South Pasadena. In addition to his career, Herb was involved in various community activities. He served on the Boards of Annandale Country Club, Casa de Las Amigas, Hillsides Children's Home, South Pasadena/San Marino YMCA, and the Valley Club.
