Velma Gates Cass

November 8, 1899 - December 26, 1947

Velma was the second daughter of Don Salmon and Rose Jackson Gates. She was born in Valley, Arkansas where her father was a manager of the family lumber mill. She attended schools in South Pasadena, California. Velma married Harold Cass '16 in 1922. Together they had four children:  Don (who died at 4 years of age from leukemia), Harold, Quincy, and Velma Cass.
