Margaret Hunter Ponting

November 7, 1910 - November 17, 2001

Margaret Hunter Godsey Ponting, 91, of Grants Pass, Oregon, died at Three Rivers Community Hospital. She was born in Chicago and moved to Grants Pass in 1976. She grew up in Pasadena and graduated from Occidental College.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Godsey of Salinas; her second husband C Davis Ponting of Mendocino; and her daughter, Kay Godsey.

Peggy served as organist at First United Presbyterian Church in Salinas and Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grants Pass; member of Presbyterian Women, PEO Sisterhood, Chapter AG and Grants Pass Lions Club.

She is survived by her son, David Godsey of Discovery Bay; four step-children; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
