Mabel Minear (Blacketer)

Mabel Minear Blacketer, a 57-year resident of Yucaipa, died March 27, 2008 at Braswell's Colonial Care in Redlands, following an illness. She was 92. She was born August 24, 1915, in South Pasadena, the third child of Adam and Florede Minear.

She was an executive secretary with Lockheed Propulsion Co. in Mentone. She was also a real estate agent, working for four companies and retiring from Blue Ribbon Realty. She was a member of Valley Baptist Fellowship in Yucaipa, and enjoyed family vacations, traveling and hunting.

She was preceded in death by her husband Buck Blacketer. Survivors include daughters Coreen King and husband Clarence of Paradise, Claudette Hazard and husband Roland "Hap" of Blaine, Washington, and Judy Marsall and husband Bob of Veneta, Oregon; son Chester Blacketer and wife Carrol of Yucaipa; 14 grandchildren and spouses, 30 great-grandchildren and spouses, seven great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
