Ruth Mann Greer, 78 of San Gabriel, a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother passed away January 10, 2007. Ruth was born on October 28, 1928 in San Mateo, California. She grew up in San Marino, and graduated from South Pasadena-San Marino High School, and Occidental College. She loved everything about science, and wanted to pass that love on to the children she taught at Washington School, San Gabriel for over 30 years. She was also known for her volunteerism and service throughout the community and her beloved church. Ruth is survived by her husband, Russ of 51 years; their two children, Tom (Mendi) and Meg (John); four grandchildren, Nick, Steffany, Sarah and Emily, and two brothers Roger and Doug. Ruth was a strong, charismatic woman who loved family, faith, friends, and life. She was dearly loved by many, and will be deeply missed by all.
