Richard L Dick Stever

Richard L. Stever, Dick was born in Pasadena May 2, 1930 and passed away at his home April 10, 2007. He attended San Marino schools, South Pasadena High, and the University of Southern California, including the USC School of Law. He was a life member of Cardinal & Gold at USC.

Dick served in the Army Air Force during the Korean War. He married Virginia Lent of Tucson Arizona in 1951 and they celebrated their fifty fifth wedding anniversary last August. After the war he went into business and was affiliated with E. F. Hutton & Co. in their Corporate Finance Department. He left the brokerage business to join National Medical Enterprises, where he served as a member of the Board of Directors and was Exe cutive Vice President. He was a member of Chevalier du Tastevin, the Hollywood Wine & Food Society, The California Club, and The Valley Hunt Club. He was active with the Pasadena Symphony, Planned Parenthood and served as President of Pasadena Hospice. Upon his retirement he and his wife Virginia traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia, including six trips to South America where their daughter and her family were living.

He is survived by his loving wife Virginia, children Robin Stever of Pasadena, Kimberly Stever of Anchorage, Alaska, Remington Stever of Seattle, Washington, and Richard Lee Stever, Jr. of San Francisco, and two grandchildren, Marco Ricardo Barrantes and Christina Therese Barrantes of San Francisco.
