Cedric Alvin Scott, died in his sleep this past Friday morning December 8, 2006 at the age of 73. His final visage was peaceful, eyes closed with the remains of a wry smile that seemed to indicate that he was in possession of a good secret that he chose to keep to himself for a little while longer. Cedric was born in Pasadena to Cedric and Bethany Scott, raised in San Marino, graduated from Pomona College in 1955 and upon his return from military service in 1957, resided in San Marino the remainder of his life.

Cedric is survived by his widow Minnie, to whom he was married for 33 years, his daughter Erica, sons Bret and Matt, and grandsons, Chris and Steven. He is also survived by dear friends too myriad to name. Words cannot express the family's sense of loss, but then, words were never sufficient to describe his capacity for love either. Cedric will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
